Calligraphy is a fun, 2-ply fingering yarn made from extra-fine superwash merino wool. One of the plies transitions to black at various intervals, resulting in a self-striping pattern that is ideal for otherwise simple textures like stockinette or garter stitch. Use one or two strands at a time for cozy headbands, cowls and cardigans.
Naturelle —Soft, earthy, and full of warmth. A natural, undyed white with a hint of rustic charm, like fresh fleece drying in the open air under soft sunlight.

Merino Sheep's Wool
Wool is a natural protein fiber that is sheared from sheep of over 200 different breeds worldwide. It is naturally crimped with a lofty hand and has been used for its warmth for 10,000 years. Merino sheep, with their particularly fine and light-colored coat, were introduced to Australia in 1797, where the best Merinos are still bred today.

Absorbs moisture better than cotton and is a master at retaining air and warmth.
Shapely
Holds the shape of garments very well and is wrinkle-resistant, for elegant structured fabrics.
Mulesing Free
Obtained from sheep that are protected from pests by means other than mulesing.

Hi, my name is Belinda and I am the "Indiedyer" behind Featherfin Yarn. I have been a professional hand-dyer since 2014 and work from my home dyeing studio in Darmstadt (Hessen), Germany.
Small Batch Dyeing
Each skein dyed by hand is unique. The best results are achieved by using skeins from the same dye batch.

All our colors are mixed from scratch with the purest dyes. You won't find these colors anywhere else.
Soft Luxury
Only the softest yarns are allowed into our collection. Preferably with luxurious fibers like cashmere and silk.
