Cashmerino is our softest yarn with which even the most sensitive skin is happy. Extra-fine merino wool is blended with luxurious cashmere to a pearly smooth DK weight yarn, perfect for hats, scarves, and extra warm cardigans or sweaters. The yarn will bloom after washing so make sure to make a gauge swatch for a successful project.

These skeins are hand-dyed in the colorway Brass, a beautiful, semi-solid yellow-brown perfect for autumnal and warm styles.

More Information

  • Dyed in hank form (big loops of yarn). Wind it into a ball to start knitting/crocheting/weaving.
  • One hank can have zero to three knots.
  • The merino wool is labeled as “Virgin Wool” or “New Wool”, as decreed by the EU-regulations for the labeling of non-recycled “new” sheep’s wool.
  • Each hand-dyed skein is different. Skeins of a batch are the most similar, so try to get enough for your project or pre-order the amount you need.
  • Depending on monitor settings colors may be displayed differently.

Merino Sheep's Wool

Wool is a natural protein fiber that is sheared from sheep of over 200 different breeds worldwide. It is naturally crimped with a lofty hand and has been used for its warmth for 10,000 years. Merino sheep, with their particularly fine and light-colored coat, were introduced to Australia in 1797, where the best Merinos are still bred today.

Cashmere

A softer, finer and more luxurious wool that is carefully collected from the undercoat of the cashmere goat. The goats are not shorn, but the silky fibers are collected through a labor-intensive combing process.
