Soft & Silky is a medium-weight yarn that is ideal for projects that require softness, warmth and drape, such as sweaters, cardigans and shawls. It is made from fine merino sheep’s wool and mulberry silk, making it very soft to the touch and giving it a silky sheen. The yarn is also superwash treated and therefore easy to care for.
These skeins are hand-dyed in the colorway Brass, a beautiful, semi-solid bronze-brown that works well as a warm neutral or as a contrast to cool colors.

More Information
Dyed in knot-free hank form (big loops of yarn). Wind it into a ball to start knitting/crocheting/weaving.
The merino wool is labeled as “Virgin Wool” or “New Wool”, as decreed by the EU-regulations for the labeling of non-recycled “new” sheep’s wool.
Each hand dyed skein is different. Skeins of a batch are the most similar, so try to get enough for your project or pre-order the amount you need.
Depending on monitor settings colors may be displayed differently.

Merino Sheep's Wool
Wool is a natural protein fiber that is sheared from sheep of over 200 different breeds worldwide. It is naturally crimped with a lofty hand and has been used for its warmth for 10,000 years. Merino sheep, with their particularly fine and light-colored coat, were introduced to Australia in 1797, where the best Merinos are still bred today.
Warm
Absorbs moisture better than cotton and is a master at retaining air and warmth.
Shapely
Holds the shape of garments very well and is wrinkle-resistant, for elegant structured fabrics.
Mulesing Free
Obtained from sheep that are protected from pests by means other than mulesing.
Mulberry Silk
Silk is a very special natural fiber that is obtained from the unwound cocoon of the silk moth. Often referred to as "the queen of fabrics", it is the only natural filament fiber and has been used for luxurious fabrics for over 5000 years.
Luxurious
Soft, lustrous, shiny, smooth and drapes with a graceful flow.
Strength
One of the strongest natural fibers - stronger than cotton or linen.

Only the mulberry silk worm produces pure white silk of the highest quality.
Performance
Wrinkle resistant and absorbs and releases moisture quickly.
