Gradient Sock Yarn Minis – Hand-Dyed Mini Skein Sets
Looking for the perfect yarn to add color shifts, subtle fades, or striking contrasts to your projects? Our Gradient Sock Yarn Minis are here! These hand-dyed mini trios offer a smooth color transition, making them ideal for socks, shawls, and colorwork projects.
Why You’ll Love These Mini Skeins:
Soft & Durable: Made from our best-selling Super Sock base—extra-fine merino wool for next-to-skin softness and nylon for durability.
Gradient Magic: Each trio is carefully dyed to create a flowing gradient effect. Perfect for matching heels, toes, and cuffs or blending into colorwork.
Endless Possibilities: Great for socks, shawls, baby knits, and sweater details. They’re also a must-have for scrappy projects!
Easy to Care For: Superwash-treated wool makes washing and wearing hassle-free.
A Note on Socks:
While this yarn is technically sock-friendly, the ultra-soft merino makes it best suited for lounging socks rather than high-wear hiking socks. If you love cozy, delicate knits, these are perfect!
What’s in Each Set:
Three 20g Minis (each 80m) – enough for contrast details in socks or a small gradient fade in your project.
Fingering Weight – works well with standard sock patterns and lightweight accessories.
Hand-Dyed in Small Batches – each set is unique and created with care.
Use these minis to experiment with new colors, add depth to your knitting, or bring a subtle fade effect to your next pair of socks. Shop now—these mini gradient sets won’t last long!

More Information
Dyed in knot-free hank form (big loops of yarn). Wind it into a ball to start knitting/crocheting/weaving.
The merino wool is labeled as “Virgin Wool” or “New Wool”, as decreed by the EU-regulations for the labeling of non-recycled “new” sheep’s wool.
Each hand-dyed skein is different. Skeins of a batch are the most similar, so try to get enough for your project or pre-order the amount you need.
Depending on monitor settings colors may be displayed differently.
Batch ID: Each yarn batch is assigned a unique ID based on the production week and year (e.g., '2448' for the 48th week of 2024). This number is printed on the product label for traceability.
Safety Warnings:
Not intended for use by young children.
Keep out of reach of pets to avoid accidental ingestion.
Darker colorways may stain hands or needles during knitting due to remaining dye residues. Washing the finished project thoroughly before wear is recommended.
Colorfastness:
Hand-dyed using acid and Lanaset dyes (acid, reactive, and metal complex dyes).
Darker colorways may release residual dye during processing or the first wash. Wash separately until the water runs clear to avoid transfer to other garments or surfaces.
Care Instructions:
Machine washable (cold water) on the gentle cycle with wool-safe detergent.
Lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight.
Avoid excessive agitation to prevent distortion.

Merino Sheep's Wool
Wool is a natural protein fiber that is sheared from sheep of over 200 different breeds worldwide. It is naturally crimped with a lofty hand and has been used for its warmth for 10,000 years. Merino sheep, with their particularly fine and light-colored coat, were introduced to Australia in 1797, where the best Merinos are still bred today.
Warm
Absorbs moisture better than cotton and is a master at retaining air and warmth.
Shapely
Holds the shape of garments very well and is wrinkle-resistant, for elegant structured fabrics.
Mulesing Free
Obtained from sheep that are protected from pests by means other than mulesing.
Nylon
Nylon is also known as polyamide (PA) and was originally developed in 1935 as a substitute for silk. It is one of the strongest fibers and at the same time very elastic, so it is often used today for sportswear and hosiery.
Strength
Smooth, soft and at the same time extremely durable - even when wet.
Performance
Wrinkle resistant and absorbs and releases moisture quickly.
